Painted Metal Lawn Chairs to be Auctioned

David, Verve West Studios, has volunteered to paint a metal chair to benefit  the Loveland Youth Gardeners.  The theme for David's chair is "Safe and Sound".  The painted tulip metal lawn chair, along with several other local artist's decorated chairs, will be auctioned at this year's Loveland Garden Tour. For more information about the silent auction of the decorated metal chairs, visit the 2011 Loveland Garden Tour website.  The auction is Saturday, June 25th from 8:30am to 3:30pm.  The chairs will be on display at downtown area merchants until June 22.






The chairs are shown at the following locations:

Kitchen Alley: Ed Harris and Diane Findley

Cloz:  David Kasprzak,  Charlotte Zink and Kim Stensonf

The Mandolin Café: Robin Dodge

The Merchant Voyage: Sheila Oakley

Anthology: Lola Johnson

These will be the locations until June 22nd.  On that day, the chairs will be transferred to the Perry Yard on W. Third Street for preparations of the Garden Tour on the 25th.

Donna and the Florence Nightingale Awards

The 2011 Colorado Nightingale Event was held at the Red Lion Hotel Denver Southeast on Saturday, May 14th. This gala, often referred to as "The Academy Awards of Nursing Excellence", recognizes nurses who exemplify the best in nursing practice and philosophy, following the standard set by 19th century nursing pioneer, Florence Nightingale.

Prior to this prestigious event, Donna decided she wanted some professional images which would capture the feeling of the evening including the formal tone. With only 30-40 minutes to spare, we quickly adjusted lighting and shot 45-50 images.  Two of Donna's favorites are displayed here.

Spring in the Rockies

With the change of seasons on the calendar from Winter to Spring, a new photography studio has sprouted in Loveland, Colorado.  Ric Svetich and I are long-time photography enthusiasts and we are excited to announce our new venture into the business of photography.

Verve West Studios is located just west of Loveland on US HWY 34 (W Eisenhower Blvd), a frequently traveled route to the Town of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park.  Our studio will offer portrait and wedding photography services and will specialize in vacation portrait sessions in our natural surroundings.
